3rd level — Ear for Deceit

When making Wisdom (Insight) checks to determine whether a creature is lying, very low d20 results are raised to a reliable minimum.

3rd level — Eye for Detail

Cunning Action gains investigative uses, allowing a bonus-action Wisdom (Perception) check to spot hidden creatures or objects or an Intelligence (Investigation) check to uncover or decipher clues.

3rd level — Insightful Fighting

As a bonus action, contest your Wisdom (Insight) against a target's Charisma (Deception). On a success, you can Sneak Attack that target without needing advantage or a nearby ally, provided you do not have disadvantage.

9th level — Steady Eye

Gain advantage on Perception and Investigation checks on a turn when you move no more than half your speed.

13th level — Unerring Eye

A limited-use action lets you sense nearby illusions, shapechangers and other magic intended to deceive the senses, though it does not automatically reveal every detail.

17th level — Eye for Weakness

Sneak Attack deals additional damage against the creature currently affected by your Insightful Fighting.

How the features work together

The path links investigation directly to combat. High Insight helps establish Insightful Fighting, Eye for Detail makes searching for hidden threats or clues easier to fit into a turn, and Eye for Weakness rewards maintaining pressure on the creature you have successfully read. Expertise in Insight, Perception, or Investigation makes those tools much more dependable.
