How do you build and play a Soulknife Rogue?
Build the Soulknife on top of a normal Dexterity-focused Rogue, then invest in the secondary abilities and skills that support the archetype. Use Psi-Bolstered Knack on important proficient checks where the die can turn failure into success, and remember that the die is preserved when the boost still fails. Psychic Blades are excellent when you need concealed, disposable weapons, but magic items and resistance interactions may make a conventional weapon relevant in some campaigns.
Ability scores
Dexterity is the main ability because Psychic Blades are finesse weapons and the Rogue chassis remains Dexterity-focused. Constitution is useful for survival. The psionic save DC in the subclass also rewards a strong Dexterity score rather than introducing a separate spellcasting ability.
Weapons and Sneak Attack
Psychic Blades are finesse weapons created by the subclass and can deliver Sneak Attack. The bonus-action blade is especially useful when the first attack misses, because it can provide another chance to land the turn's Sneak Attack.
Action economy

Skills and Expertise
Psi-Bolstered Knack rewards proficiency broadly, so Expertise in Stealth, Perception, Investigation, Persuasion, or another signature skill becomes even more reliable. Choose skills that matter frequently enough to justify both Expertise and occasional psionic support.
Common mistake
A common mistake is spending Psionic Energy as though every use were equally valuable. Psi-Bolstered Knack only expends its die when it actually turns failure into success, while Homing Strikes and teleportation can consume dice quickly. Preserve the pool for checks, attacks, or movement that genuinely change the situation.
