Broad rather than specialized

The Human improves every ability, including scores a particular class may use only rarely. This creates breadth rather than one large offensive or defensive feature.

Primary abilities still matter most

A Wizard still cares most about Intelligence; a Cleric about Wisdom; a Barbarian about Strength and Constitution; and so on. Human does not change the class's primary mechanics.

Odd ability scores can benefit efficiently

Because every score rises by 1, a starting array containing several odd values can gain multiple modifier increases at once.

Multiclass prerequisites can become easier

Broad increases can help a character meet several 13-score multiclass prerequisites, although the exact usefulness depends on the starting array and planned classes.

No active species resource to track

A new player or a player with a resource-heavy class may appreciate that standard Human adds almost no additional turn-by-turn management.
